Acquires Zumwalt-Hansen & Associates, Inc.
QK announced completion of the acquisition of Zumwalt-Hansen Associates, Inc. (ZHA)
July 1, 2021
QK announced completion of the acquisition of Zumwalt-Hansen Associates, Inc. (ZHA) Wednesday, June 30, 2021. The acquisition combines ZHA’s talented team with QK’s full suite of programmatic professional services including engineering, land surveying, planning, environmental, landscape architecture, and construction management. ZHA staff became official QK employees effective July 1, 2021.
“The history and synergy between both groups allowed for a quick and seamless transition. Once we decided that this was the right fit for all parties, we worked closely with the ZHA Team to make this strategic acquisition happen and I am thrilled to be where we are now.” said Amber Aguayo, CFO/COO.
For QK, the acquisition adds an additional 10 key team members and a Hanford office, growing the firm to more than 130 employees between six California offices, and strengthens the resources available to service public and private agencies in Kings County and in all of our geographic areas.
“QK and ZHA have both been historically driven to success through innovation which is why adding the legacy and value of John Zumwalt, PE, PLS and the ZHA team to our lineup card makes sense for everyone involved,” added Ron Wathen, PE, President/CEO. “Our firm is nearing our 50-year anniversary, and our rich history of serving our Central California clients, just got a whole lot richer.”
Terms of the acquisition will not be released.
