Clovis, CA – QK recently welcomed Dylan Ayers from Tampa, Florida, to join the QK Biology team as an Associate Environmental Scientist.  Dylan has conducted biological studies in upland and wetland habitats in Florida and brings with him more than two years of consulting experience. He has designed and completed Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)-based surveys for various species of birds including bald eagles, sandhill cranes, and wading birds. QK has been working extensively on Small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS) mapping applications, and Dylan will be working directly with the sUAS team to help develop a program for using the companies 6 different rotary aircrafts in the field for environmental surveys.

“We are so glad to welcome Dylan Ayers to our QK bio team,” says Curtis Uptain, Principal Environmental Scientist at QK. “The exciting aspect of biology that Dylan brings to the team is his exceptional and extensive experience using drones to conduct biological surveys.  Dylan’s experience with drones and associated analytical software will help us to quickly expand that technology into the biology practice area.”

Dylan received his BS in Environmental Science from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a Part 107 Certified UAV Pilot and holds certifications as a Gopher Tortoise Agent and Open Water Diver.
