(CLOVIS, CA) – QK, an award-winning regional engineering and planning firm with strong ties to the San Joaquin Valley, held an official grand opening and tour for media today at its new Old Town Clovis location in the city’s increasingly popular SoFi District. The company’s new location is 601 Pollasky Ave., Suite 301 in Clovis, CA 93612.

The move comes on the heels of some significant strides made by the company over the past two years. From a company-wide rebranding process (changing its name from Quad Knopf to QK in June 2016), announcing a new president and CEO, and acquiring a south-valley firm in Porterville – the new Clovis location only helps keep QK’s momentum strong. With over 110 employees, QK continues to grow with offices in Visalia, Merced, Roseville, Bakersfield, Porterville and Clovis.

“From engineers, architects, medical professionals and law students, Old Town Clovis continues to attract deep thinkers who value a community whose roots run deep and growth is exceptional,” said City of Clovis Mayor Bob Whelan. “QK is the most recent group of engineers and professional planners to join in the fun.”

With nearly 50 years of experience and giving back to the communities it serves, QK remains respected within the industry for its five distinct service divisions: 1) Engineering Design & Construction Management; 2) Survey & GIS; 3) Urban Design & Landscape Architecture; 4) Planning; and 5) Biology & Environmental Permitting.

As part of its leadership succession plan, QK recently announced Ronald J. Wathen, PE as its new President and CEO. With this announcement, the company’s former, long-term President and CEO Michael D. Knopf, PE, PLS is now the Chairman of the QK Board of Directors.

“We couldn’t be more excited to be part of this community and the wonderful new SoFi District in Old Town Clovis,” said QK’s President and CEO Ron Wathen, PE. “While much of our staff live in Clovis and we’ve been doing work throughout the city for years, we are thrilled to now have an office in this great space, and would like to thank the city and the Clovis community for its very warm welcome.”

“The Clovis Chamber of Commerce is very excited to welcome QK and its exceptional employees to Old Town Clovis,” said Clovis Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Greg Newman. “The unique mix of office and retail businesses, along with the growing list of dining options makes Old Town Clovis a wonderful place to work. We wish QK continued success and look forward to seeing QK employees and clients around Old Town, enjoying the Clovis Way of Life.”

QK plans to host a public open house for its clients and the community later this year.
