Biology Team Grows at QK - Carie Wingert Joins Clovis Office
Clovis, CA – QK is pleased to welcome Ms. Carie Wingert to its Clovis office as Senior Environmental Scientist to support the overwhelming growth of the biology and environmental permitting service division of the company. Ms. Wingert earned her Masters of Biological Sciences degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 2012. She has more than 16 years of experience conducting general habitat assessments, impact analyses, and focused animal surveys. Ms. Wingert has working knowledge of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) processes and regulations and will be a regular participant in the Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs) and Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declarations (IS/MNDs) prepared by QK’s Planning teams.
In addition, Ms. Wingert has logged thousands of biological survey hours throughout the Central Valley and Mojave Desert, including time with the blunt nose leopard lizard, desert tortoise, San Joaquin kit fox, burrowing owls, kangaroo rats, and Mojave ground squirrels.
On joining QK Ms. Wingert said, “Everyone at QK has been very welcoming and friendly. Since I’ve joined QK, I’ve been coaching staff on the intricacies and nuances of technical writing and analyses,” she said. “Junior staff are eager to learn and it’s exciting to be able to help them grow as they move forward in their careers.”
